Are you stuck?

This article is in continuation with the last article “At Father’s feet.”

Many times, we want to return to our father in heaven, we have the hearts burning for him but many things stop us from receiving to the fullness all God has for us. We acknowledge Him as Lord and God but somewhere we fail to recognize him as a loving and compassionate father. To receive from the Lord to the fullness, we really need to understand that the Lord is our loving and compassionate father. Until we recognize this, either we will not be able to return to him or we might live as a slave even after returning to our father.

One of the common traps used for the people of God is to keep them in slavery through the lies about our God. In this article, I would like to discuss various traps that stop people of God to enter into his fullness.

Are you stuck in the things of the world?

As I wrote in the last article that it was the world that was so appealing to the prodigal son that took him away from his father’s refuge and fortress. He tried surviving in the world through all that he received from his father. Is there anything so fascinating about the world that you ran away from the first love? Think about those things (money, relationships, career etc.) that have taken away the place of the Lord in your life. The place that was once the throne of God but now something else is reigning. Recognize and acknowledge it. As you acknowledge ask Lord to forgive you as he is waiting once again for you with the same compassion and mercy. His mercies are never-ending and his love is never failing (Lamentations 3:22-23). Nothing can take you out of his love. Is there anything too big that can make the Lord speak that I can’t forgive you? Trust me, there is nothing too big. (Read Romans 8:31-39)

Are you stuck in the lies?

Is there any lie that you have believed about your father in heaven that is now keeping you away from him? It can be any lie. May be enemy has shouted at his highest pitch: look at your sins, they are so big, God will never receive you. Maybe he is making you look at the dirt on your body and clothes. Maybe he is speaking to you that you are a slave, God does not love you, If he loved you, where was he during your hard times? Maybe there is a lie about who you are and to whom you belong. Maybe he is speaking that you belong to nowhere, you are looser or unworthy.

As you read this, just shut those lies and hear his gentle whisper of forgiveness and love. Listen to his whisper calling you as son and daughter. Those whispers that are calling you back. Those whispers that will tell about his love for you. Those whispers that will reveal who you are.

Remember that the prodigal would have never been able to experience the love and compassion of the father if he would have stayed trapped. Scriptures do not mention if he had the lies going on in the mind but if I think from a human perspective, anyone can easily be trapped in these lies.

Break your agreements with these lies and come into agreement of the song that Lord is singing over you, the truth that the heaven is releasing over you. I pray that even as you read this, you will start hearing and become sensitive to all that God has to say to you. You shall hear the song of joy, love and forgiveness that Lord is singing over you. In Jesus’s Name, Amen

Are you stuck in your own perspective?

When the prodigal returns home, his father saw him from far off; father ran towards his son. Son apologizes to the father but the father intervenes and asks his servants to bring his own robe, ring (seal of sonship), and best pair of shoes.

It was necessary for the father to just not accept him back but to give him his all rights and place him in the right position so that he would not live like a slave.

Jesus has already paid the price for our sins. There is no sin that is too big for our father to forgive, He didn’t only die on the cross to give us freedom from our sins but also to give us our true identity as sons and daughters of the most high.

We have received the spirit of adoption that calls Abba Father.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:15

Maybe you have returned home and you are still with the same mentality of a slave and unable to receive the position and all that God wants to give you. Maybe some of us are too busy in contending with Lord about our mistakes, flaws, and past that we are not ready to listen to what Father has to say to us, Our father is ready to intervene if we are ready to hear. His one word can melt our hearts.

Maybe we might need to forgive our own selves. Self-forgiveness is as important as knowing that the Lord has forgiven us. Sometimes, we understand that the Lord has forgiven us but we do not forgive ourselves.

Today, our father is yearning for you to return and live in the fullness as his son and daughter. He wants to work with you. He wants to change the clothes that the world has given you. He wants to remove the clothes of slavery and give you his robe of royal ship and priesthood. He wants to give you the best out of his riches and glory. Read 1 Peter 2:9

Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected to give you back all that you once lost. The forgiveness is freely given to us on the cross, We don’t have to labor to receive his love, forgiveness, and grace. His grace and love are so deep. Just receive.

Prayer: Father God, we ask for our reader that you will tear down all the lies that they might be believing and it did not allow them to come into fullness. I pray daddy that they will hear your whispers of love. They will recognize your voice that is calling unto them. Father, I pray Lord that they will receive all that you have for their life through your grace and they will live in your goodness and riches. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Maybe you are reading this and never knew about the Lord who is a compassionate and loving father and want to give your life to him; Read this prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and forgive my sins. I receive you as my savior who died and was resurrected for me. Come and do what you want to do in my life. I surrender my heart, mind, and soul to you. In Jesus name, Amen.

“May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Heb. 13:20-21)
